Warping, weaving, dyeing and functional finishing — four stages that determine the quality of a military uniform and how well it protects the wearer.
The modern military uniform is no longer just a piece of camouflage fabric — it is a complete protection system. At WidePlus mills in Taiwan, fabrics pass through four main stages under one roof.
01 — Warping
Thousands of lengthwise yarns are prepared and wound under equal tension onto large beams — a stage that determines the regularity and strength of the weave.
02 — Weaving
Using 700 water-jet and air-jet looms, polyester and nylon fabrics are woven in different densities and weights depending on the application.
03 — Dyeing
28 high-temperature rapid dyeing machines ensure that colours and camouflage patterns stay fast against sunlight and repeated washing.
04 — Functional finishing
This is where fabrics gain their advanced properties: anti-bacterial and anti-viral protection, odour control, anti-static performance and humidity management — essential for long field operations.
We supply these fabrics and garments to military and security entities, with manufacturing to each customer’s specifications.
